Indiana State University President Mike Godard today announced the appointment of Dr. Ryan Schroeder as provost and vice president for academic affairs, a pivotal leadership selection that signals the University’s continued momentum and unwavering commitment to academic excellence, student success, and institutional transformation.

Dr. Schroeder brings more than twenty years of distinguished experience as a scholar, educator, and transformative academic leader. Most recently serving as dean of the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences and interim dean of the Jack N. Averitt College of Graduate Studies at Georgia Southern University, he has led with a clear focus on measurable outcomes and lasting institutional impact. Under his leadership, his college experienced substantial growth in enrollment, expanded graduate education, improved retention and graduation outcomes, and significantly increased external funding and philanthropic support in service of students and faculty.
