Senior Manager, Program Learning & Impact, Peacebuilding
Humanity United
We partnered with Humanity United on the search for a Senior Manager, Program Learning & Impact, Peacebuilding. Humanity United is dedicated to cultivating the conditions for enduring peace and freedom.
Our work resulted in the recruitment of Joan Marshall-Missiye to the role.
Previously, Marshall-Missiye was the technical advisor for monitoring, evaluation, and learning for international programs at American Friends Service Committee (AFSC). Based in Philadelphia, she worked with staff and partners across more than a dozen countries to improve the ways we think about results and impact of peacebuilding and social justice using decolonized and inclusive approaches to evaluation design, analysis, and utilization of findings.
Before AFSC, Marshall-Missiye lived and worked in DR Congo, Cote d’Ivoire, Burkina Faso, and Togo supporting communities in addressing health, livelihoods, and social justice.
A proud daughter of the indigenous Igorot people of northern Philippines, Marshall-Missiye explores the intersectional issues of identity, feminism, indigenous leadership, decolonization, and intergenerational trauma healing in her work and in her poetry.
Marshall-Missiye holds a BA from The College of New Jersey. She earned her MA in Social and Public Policy from Duquesne University.
