Scott Murray is an executive search consultant with more than 15 years of experience advising colleges and universities, governing boards, and mission-driven organizations on executive talent strategy and leadership recruitment. Drawing on a diverse background in executive search, corporate talent acquisition, and education law, he partners with clients to recruit exceptional leaders while advising on succession planning, talent attraction, and leadership development.

Before joining DSG Global, Scott served as Director of Executive Search for the University of North Carolina System Office, where he led executive search services for one of the nation’s largest public university systems. He advised institutions on chancellor, provost, dean, vice president, and other senior leadership searches while helping build a nationally recognized in-house executive search practice. Scott has also served as an executive recruiter for a global tech company and an attorney and search consultant for a state school boards association, where he managed superintendent searches and advised local boards on executive leadership and governance.

Scott is recognized for his collaborative, strategic, and agile approach to executive hiring and his commitment to delivering an exceptional experience for both clients and candidates. He holds a SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential and multiple recruiting certifications.
