Managing Director

Kris McFeely is a Managing Director in the Nonprofit & Social Impact Practice at DSG Global, bringing more than two decades of executive search experience to the team.

Kris specializes in identifying and recruiting exceptional leaders for mission-driven organizations. Drawing on experience across environment and conservation, human services, museums, zoos and aquariums, associations, and the arts, she partners with organizations to attract leaders who can advance their mission and long-term strategy. Her search expertise includes fundraising, operations, marketing, finance, and CEO, Executive Director, and senior leadership roles. Throughout her career, she has completed more than 500 searches for organizations ranging from grassroots nonprofits to international institutions.

Kris’ approach is rooted in listening closely to both clients and candidates, an emphasis that has allowed her to build lasting relationships throughout the nonprofit sector. She believes an organization’s people are its most critical resource, and that a well-matched career choice, one that aligns a leader’s skills and values with an organization’s mission, can have a lasting impact on both the individuals she places and the causes they serve.

Select clients include Environmental Defense Fund, Zoological Society of Milwaukee, American Nurses Association, Glacier National Park Conservancy, Trust for Public Land, Special Olympics Illinois, Muscular Dystrophy Association, Chicago Symphony Orchestra Association, and Start Early.

Most recently, Kris was a Partner in the Nonprofit Practice at DHR Global. Prior to that, she served as Managing Director at Campbell & Company, a fundraising consulting and executive search firm, where she led high-profile searches and guided strategic talent initiatives. As a member of Campbell’s senior leadership team, she also oversaw recruitment for the consulting staff and chaired the firm’s Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility Council.

Before her executive search career, Kris spent 10 years at the John G. Shedd Aquarium as a Senior Animal Care Specialist, where she oversaw daily care and training for the marine mammal collection and managed the college internship program, mentoring students pursuing careers in zoo and aquarium-related fields.

Recognized as one of Crain’s 2020 Notable Leaders in HR, Kris has built strong partnerships with board members, C-suite executives, and high-potential talent across the nonprofit sector. She is a member of the Network of Nonprofit Search Consultants.
