Piedmont Healthcare is seeking an accomplished physician executive to serve as Chief of Radiology and provide system-wide physician leadership, vision, and clinical performance oversight for the Piedmont Radiology Service Line.
The Chief will lead clinical strategy and standards across diagnostic radiology, interventional radiology, neuroradiology, breast imaging, nuclear medicine, and other radiology subspecialties, spanning employed, contracted, and affiliated radiologists and radiology Advanced Practice Providers (APPs). The Chief will model leadership behaviors and actions that support Piedmont Healthcare’s mission, vision, and values and advance its promise to make a positive difference in every life it touches.
Working in close partnership with the administrative dyad for the Radiology Service Line, the Chief and administrative leader will serve as dual leaders of the service line, sharing accountability for strategy, performance, growth, access, enterprise integration, and overall service-line success while maintaining clear distinction between clinical and administrative leadership responsibilities.
The Chief will have primary accountability for clinical strategy, physician leadership, quality, patient safety, clinical standards, professional practice, and physician engagement. The administrative dyad will have primary accountability for business operations, financial performance, administrative execution, operational infrastructure, and implementation. Major service-line priorities and decisions will be developed collaboratively through the dyad model in alignment with Physician Enterprise, hospital, medical staff, and Piedmont Healthcare governance.
