Role Summary
Reporting to the Board of Directors of The Doctors Clinic (the Board), the Executive Director serves as chief executive of The Doctors Clinic and, in partnership with the Board, the Board President, and Medical Director, is responsible for establishing a strategic plan for the overall success of The Doctors Clinic. The Board delegates responsibility for management and day-to-day operations to the Executive Director, who has the authority to carry out these responsibilities in accordance with the directions and policies established by the Board.
he Executive Director assumes responsibility for the overall strategic and growth plans of the practice, establishing and maintaining systems for ensuring that high quality care is provided and sound fiscal operations are implemented. The Executive Director is responsible for the measurement, assessment, and continuous improvement of practice performance and for ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies and institutions. Additional responsibilities involve promoting The Doctors Clinic within the community, building and maintaining healthy business relationships with local, regional, and national partners, including local hospital and health system partners.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, health care administration, or related field required.
- Master’s degree and/or related certification preferred.
- 10 years of leadership in senior executive management level position.
- Progressive responsibilities in senior/executive leadership roles within a multi-specialty group practice.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with physicians, administration, staff, and community.
- Strong financial acumen and demonstrated experience managing fiscal performance.
- Inspiring vision and team-building skills; ability to motivate others and build collaboration.
- Proven success fostering productive relationships with the Board, local health system and regional leadership, group executives, medical staff, employees, and external constituencies.
- Strong analytical skill set with sound judgement and the ability to make strategic recommendations.

The Doctors Clinic’s primary hospital relationship is with St. Michael Medical Center in Silverdale, WA, the largest hospital in Kitsap County. As part of Virginia Mason Franciscan Health's system of 10 hospitals and 230 specialty clinics, St. Michael Medical Center has a deep commitment to support healthy living on the peninsula. It is a 248-bed Level III Trauma Center with a Leapfrog A safety grade. A recent $645 million, 500,000 square-foot hospital expansion added 144 new critical and acute beds, 9 new operating rooms, expanded imaging center, and 13 new procedural rooms.
