Ensemble Performing Arts is the leading consolidator of youth-focused music and dance schools and performing arts businesses. Like other youth enrichment categories, these are highly fragmented industries that support successful consolidation strategies and strong outcomes for students, teachers, and investors alike. Fundamental to the company is a belief that “Our teachers are at the heart of everything we do, so we obsess over their success.”  Each of Ensemble’s schools has a longstanding reputation in its respective community. Their teams work every day to continue to fulfill the promise of high-quality education and feel the weight of that responsibility to every student, parent, and teacher.

Ensemble is growing 50% annually and plans to continue its growth strategy acquiring schools, upgrading and integrating systems and processes, driving operating performance and value creation. Earlier this year, Ensemble acquired its largest competitor, a 30-school operator, and is acquiring single locations at a rate of 1-2 per month. Since inception in January 2019, the company has grown to its current scale of 135 locations.

The COO serves as a strategic operational leader and key partner to the Chief Executive Officer and senior management team, with primary responsibility for scaling the company’s operating model and successfully integrating newly acquired schools into the Ensemble Performing Arts platform. The COO will be instrumental in driving growth through disciplined M&A execution, leading post-acquisition onboarding, operational integration, and the implementation of best-in-class processes, systems, and resources that enhance school performance and scalability. The COO will oversee the development and execution of integration plans, ensuring alignment across acquired businesses, retention of key talent, adoption of company practices, and realization of operational synergies. The COO will establish operational rigor, performance metrics, and accountability structures to support a rapidly growing portfolio of schools while preserving the entrepreneurial culture and strengths of acquired organizations. It is vital that the COO be a collaborative leader who partners with school owners, operators, and the executive team to drive continuous improvement, accelerate value creation, and build a scalable operating infrastructure to support Ensemble’s continued expansion.

This is a full-time remote position. Salary commensurate with experience with a generous benefits package.
