Skidmore College invites nominations and applications for the position of Dean of the Faculty and Vice President for Academic Affairs. Located in Saratoga Springs, New York, Skidmore is a highly selective liberal arts college enrolling approximately 2,600 students across more than 40 academic programs. As a key member of the President’s Cabinet, the Dean of the Faculty and Vice President for Academic Affairs will provide both and strategic leadership for all academic programs and initiatives, champion faculty and student success, advance the goals of the College’s new strategic plan, and serve as a compelling advocate for the value of liberal education. The successful candidate will be an accomplished scholar and academic leader with a distinguished record of teaching, scholarship, and service. They will also bring a deep commitment to collaboration and shared governance along with the vision to guide academic innovation while strengthening Skidmore’s tradition of excellence.
This is a full-time position that will be performed on site in Saratoga Springs, New York. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience. The salary range for this role will be approximately $295,000 - $325,000 with a generous benefits package.
