Wesley Woods Senior Living, a mission-driven organization founded in 1954 by the North Georgia Conference of The United Methodist Church, is seeking a Controller to provide financial oversight for its 10 Georgia communities. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer and managing an Assistant Controller and Staff Accountant, the Controller will supervise and perform tasks across key financial areas, including accounts receivable/payable, general accounting, financial reporting, treasury, payroll, and systems support. This role is central to the organization's commitment to providing affordable housing and support services for older adults, supported by a dedicated staff of 250 across its various campuses.
The Controller works closely with the CFO and financial services staff of Wesley Woods Senior Living to provide oversight and financial management of the accounting department. This entails supervising, directing, and sometimes performing tasks in the Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Accounting, Financial Reporting, Treasury, Payroll, and Financial Systems Support areas. The Controller will oversee the Assistant Controller and Staff Accountant.
Nonprofit accounting experience, specifically as it relates to gifts and grants is essential, and will be a significant responsibility of the role. Microsoft Business Central 365 is used for financial reporting. Other applications used include Lifecalc Pro, Blackbaud/Raiser’s Edge, OneSite, and Paycom.
