ABOUT LIFEMOVES

LifeMoves is the largest and most effective provider of interim housing and services for homelessness in Silicon Valley since 1987. Our mission is to end homelessness by providing interim supportive housing, tailored services, and building collaborative partnerships. With over two dozen interim supportive housing communities and more on the way, LifeMoves gives our neighbors experiencing homelessness a temporary place to call home while providing intensive, customized case management through site-based programs and community outreach.

POSITION PURPOSE

LifeMoves seeks a visionary, strategic, and results-driven fundraising leader to serve as Chief Philanthropy Officer (CPO). Reporting to the CEO and serving as a key member of the senior leadership team, the CPO will lead and inspire a 30-person Development team to generate $28MM in private philanthropic support. In partnership with the CEO, Board of Directors, and executive leadership, the CPO will help position LifeMoves as a leading force in solving homelessness in Silicon Valley.

This leader will be responsible for overseeing all fundraising operations—including major gifts, corporate partnerships, annual giving, direct response, grants, special events and volunteer engagement —while also ensuring stewardship and coordination of public funding. As LifeMoves expands its reach and revenue goals, the CPO will also be charged with building and strengthening the operational infrastructure—spanning systems, processes, and team collaboration—necessary to scale fundraising impact and sustain long-term growth. The CPO is also responsible for upholding the highest standards of fundraising ethics, donor confidentiality, and compliance.

This role qualifies for a hybrid schedule (a minimum of 2 days in the office, 3 days remotely, and a maximum of 3 days remotely).
