A nonprofit executive with more than 20 years of experience at some of the world’s leading institutions – including Harvard University, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, the University of Pennsylvania, and Brigham and Women’s Hospital – Lauren has served as a frontline fundraiser for three multibillion-dollar campaigns. Throughout her career, she has secured transformative funding from individuals, corporations, and foundations, built and managed boards and committees, and led highly successful fundraising teams.

Prior to joining the Society, Lauren served as the Chief Development Officer at the V Foundation for Cancer Research and the Chief Strategy and Development Officer at the National Brain Tumor Society. Previously, she was an Assistant Vice President for Development at Harvard’s Brigham and Women’s Hospital, where she led fundraising for Neurosciences and helped to launch the Ann Romney Center for Neurologic Diseases – home to one of the top MS research centers and clinics in the United States.

As a CDO, she has played a pivotal role in shaping organizational strategy and leading Development teams to achieve exponential revenue growth in support of critical research and programmatic priorities.

Lauren holds a master’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania, a bachelor’s degree from Ohio Wesleyan University, and is a Certified Fundraising Executive through CFRE International.

She was diagnosed with MS in 2017.
