Kendra Thompson is a Managing Director in the Healthcare practice of DSG Global, joining the firm in 2026. Prior to her time at DSG Global, Kendra led retained physician and executive search at one of the nation’s largest healthcare staffing and workforce solutions companies—she brings over a decade of experience leading search in life sciences, academic medicine, and healthcare executives. With a long and successful track record of partnering with academic health systems, medical centers, and training programs across the nation, she has a strong understanding of operations across all missions.

From the bedside to the benchtop or the boardroom, Kendra’s portfolio of search expertise spans all clinical specialties and all levels of leadership within large groups, integrated health systems, academic medical centers, children’s hospitals, cancer centers and research institutions. This experience includes successful search for funded investigators and research leaders across basic science, translational, clinical, epidemiology and outcomes research programs. Examples of recent search work include Academic Division Chiefs, Academic Department Chairs, the Dean’s suite, Service Line Directors, Research Program Leaders, Institute Directors, and C-suite roles such as Chief Scientific Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Physician Executive, and more.

Kendra and her family reside in the Dallas-Ft. Worth metropolitan area. Kendra and her husband are fitness enthusiasts who met at a bodybuilding competition—you can find them spending most of their free time at the gym, cooking, working on home projects, or being involved in youth sports.
