Arpan Narayan is a Managing Director at DSG Global, where he leads consulting and executive search engagements for boards and C-suite executives across financial services, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and technology. Arpan’s work spans enterprise risk management and human capital leadership.
Arpan started at KPMG and PwC in enterprise risk management. He moved into human capital after identifying a persistent gap: the most consequential organizational challenges trace back to people and leadership decisions, and those decisions were rarely approached with the rigor they warranted. That recognition shaped the practice he runs today—one that connects talent and succession directly to business performance, governance, and measurable outcomes.
Before joining DSG, Arpan held senior leadership roles at Genpact, Coqual, and KPMG International. At Genpact, he led the human capital advisory practice for financial services clients, partnering with C-suite executives on workforce strategy, operating model design, and organizational performance. At Coqual, he served as Executive Vice President and led the firm’s consulting practice. Earlier, he served as Global Head of Culture for KPMG International, where he shaped the firm’s people and culture agenda across its global network. Across these roles, Arpan worked closely with C-suite executives on operating model transformation, workforce strategy, and organizational performance across financial services, life sciences, and technology.
A growing focus of Arpan’s work is the leadership and governance implications of AI. Executive teams and boards are facing real pressure on these questions—faster competitive cycles, sharper board scrutiny on leadership decisions, and sustained uncertainty about how AI is reorganizing work and reshaping what effective leadership requires. Arpan advises organizations on both dimensions: the strategy and governance work of preparing for that transition, and the executive search work of finding the leaders who can carry it.
Arpan has previously served as a Lecturer at Columbia University and is the author of Unlocking Change: How Peer Influence Drives Organizational Success.
