The President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) serves as the chief executive leader of the Association for the Accreditation of Human Research Protection Programs (AAHRPP), the global leader in accrediting high-quality human research protection programs (HRPPs). The CEO is responsible for advancing the organization’s mission to promote ethically sound and scientifically rigorous research involving human participants.
Reporting to the AAHRPP Board of Directors, the CEO provides strategic, operational, and external leadership for the organization. The CEO oversees accreditation services, organizational operations, financial stewardship, stakeholder engagement, and global outreach. The role requires leadership in research ethics, regulatory frameworks governing human subjects research, and quality improvement in institutional research oversight.
The CEO serves as the principal representative and ambassador for AAHRPP, working closely with organizations that conduct, oversee, review, sponsor, and/or manage research involving human participants, regulatory agencies, and international partners to advance excellence in human research protections.

AAHRPP accredits hundreds of organizations worldwide, including universities, hospitals, research institutes, and independent institutional review boards.
Compensation
Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and includes a generous benefits package. The salary range for this role is $350,000 – $430,000.
