Having started as a CYC intern, nearly 30 years ago, Tina’s extraordinary journey through the organization exemplifies the power of perseverance, learning, and leadership driven by purpose. This milestone reflects not only Tina’s personal and professional growth, but the culture of opportunity and collaboration that defines CYC.

During Ayala’s journey to CYC President, she helped build innovative programming including developing CYC’s integral Makers Labs, and spearheading CYC’s Sustainable Operations team. Tina notes that one of the greatest achievements of her career is the privilege to mentor thousands of children throughout her time at CYC. Ayala has supported children to reach life goals such as going to college, starting their own businesses, and even becoming CYC Staff members! Ayala’s relentless drive to provide holistic support for Chicago families continues to shape how CYC assists our communities today.
