Maureen Alphonse-Charles is a pioneer in creating inclusive strategies, innovative leadership, and community engagement. As an internationalist, she brings cross-sector recruitment and a passion for finding exceptional leaders making every search an adventure in possibilities.

As a Senior Advisor and most recently Managing Director, Maureen is known for identifying transformational leaders, working in teams, problem-solving and building early trust. Her clients have included the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, The KIPP Foundation, Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston, West End House, the Museum of African American History, METCO, and the New Commonwealth Fund. She has also partnered with a range of corporate clients such as J.P. Morgan, Northern Trust, Deloitte, and the Federal Reserve of Boston. Additionally, public and quasi public funds such as CalPERS, CalSTRS and the Massachusetts Convention Center Association (MCCA) have been marquee clients.

Maureen began her career in corporate finance and banking for Swiss Bank Corporation. Before coming to DSG | Koya, Maureen was Senior Vice President and COO of The Partnership, a consulting firm that builds cross-sector multicultural/inclusive leadership talent. Prior to joining The Partnership, she built leadership teams in her role as Vice President of Recruitment at City Year. Previously, she served as Managing Director and Partner at several global search firms.

She has received awards from organizations such as the YW Boston’s Academy of Women Achievers, Boston’s Most Influential Women by Women of the Harvard Club, and as a Local Woman of Influence by the Boston Business Journal. Alphonse-Charles also served as the first Black President of The Boston Club, the longest-standing organization in the Northeast focused on the advancement of women’s leadership.

Maureen is a Trustee for Boston University, an Advisor for the Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy, Tufts University, and a Director for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston. She has been selected as a regional judge for the White House. Currently, she is an active member of the Boston Chapter of the Links. As a strong believer in Humankind, Maureen Alphonse-Charles’ credo is to make a difference.
