Towne

Managing Director

Paul Towne is a Managing Director in DSG Global’s Nonprofit and Social Impact Practice.

As Managing Director, Paul offers expertise in executive search, talent assessment, and client relationship management for the nonprofit and social impact sectors. He joins DSG | Koya from Cooper Coleman, where he successfully placed exceptional mission-driven leaders for nonprofits, social impact organizations, and foundations across the country. Paul has partnered with a diverse set of clients, including Proteus Fund, United Way of Fresno and Madera Counties, Ingenuity, Inc., The LGBT Center of New York City, Hack the Hood, BootUp Professional Development, Techbridge Girls, and the Center on Rural Innovation.

Prior to his work in search, Paul spent more than fifteen years fundraising for some of the world’s most impactful organizations and championing technology that promotes charitable giving and organizational effectiveness. Paul most recently worked in institutional partnerships for Resilia, a social impact tech startup that partners with foundations to support nonprofit capacity building and diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. He held similar business development roles with United Way Worldwide, CyberGrants/ Bonterra, and IBM.

Paul has represented organizations across the philanthropic sector, including higher education, volunteerism, international development, disaster relief, and youth development. He worked in alumni relations at Emory University’s Goizueta Business School and in corporate partnerships for Points of Light, the world’s largest network of organizations committed to inspiring, equipping, and mobilizing community volunteers. At Points of Light, he launched a first-of-its-kind partnership with Google to support free/low-cost technology adoption and a global volunteerism partnership with Visa.

Paul has led technology sector engagement for international NGOs, including CARE USA and UNICEF USA, helping leverage corporate financial and technical resources to improve outcomes in financial inclusion, education, public health, disaster relief, and livelihoods. He launched first-time partnerships with Amazon, Apple, and Facebook/ Meta, raising critical disaster relief funds and piloting “data for good” initiatives. At the American Red Cross, he led the nation’s top-performing regional corporate fundraising team, securing over $10M in corporate support.

After living in the San Francisco Bay Area for over a decade, Paul is currently based in Columbus, Ohio, and partners with clients nationwide. He serves on the board of directors of New Directions Career Center, a local nonprofit that supports and empowers women from diverse backgrounds to reach their full potential. Paul previously served on the Alumni Board of Emory University’s Goizueta Business School and has mentored more than two dozen students.
