About NPHI

Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos International (NPHI), meaning “Our Little Brothers and Sisters,” is an international nonprofit organization founded in 1954 by Father William Wasson in Cuernavaca, Mexico. NPHI cares for orphaned, abandoned, disabled and vulnerable children, and supports their families and communities in nine countries across Latin America and the Caribbean — including Mexico, Honduras, Haiti, Guatemala, Nicaragua, El Salvador, the Dominican Republic, Peru, and Bolivia. The organization is recognized as a civil society partner for the United Nations Department of Global Communications (UNDGC) and aligns much of its strategic work with the Sustainable Development Goals. NPHI’s work is centered on its Whole Child Philosophy, which addresses every aspect of a child’s growth and well-being. NPHI focuses on Protection, offering stable, family-style homes where children can thrive emotionally and academically; Prevention, through family-strengthening, daycare, and reintegration programs that aim to keep families together; and Preparation, helping young people transition to adulthood with vocational training, higher education, and leadership development.
