MSM’s endowment has more than doubled, fueled by historic philanthropy and visionary financial stewardship. The transformative Bloomberg Philanthropies gift—one of the largest in the school’s history—will propel the endowment from $140 million to $300 million. Morehouse is seeking a seasoned, inspiring, innovative and transformational finance leader who combines operational rigor with strategic vision, a growth mindset and a proven ability to guide complex organizations through transformation. Key Selection Criteria for this position includes the following:
- Master’s degree in business administration, finance or accounting. CPA preferred.
- 10+ years of progressively responsible financial leadership experience in healthcare or higher education and at least five years in a senior executive role within a complex health system or academic medical center.
- Expertise in financial strategy, capital planning, budgeting, and investment management.
- Forward thinking finance leader possessing a growth mindset and demonstrated experience with strategic partnerships.
- Ability to serve as a trusted management liaison to Board committees while maintaining focus on enterprise operations.
- Prior experience leading ERP/financial transformations.
- Highly developed leadership skills with executive presence, collaborative style, and superior communication and interpersonal skills.
