Morehouse School of Medicine (MSM) seeks a seasoned Chief Financial Officer to join its ranks at a defining moment in its 50-year history—a moment of remarkable growth, national recognition and transformative momentum. Rooted in its mission to advance health equity and prepare leaders in medicine, science and public health who reflect the communities they serve, MSM has become one of the nation’s most dynamic academic medical schools. The next Chief Financial Officer will join an institution that is not only thriving in growth but also shaping the future of healthcare delivery and education in America.

Over the past five years, Morehouse School of Medicine has entered a period of extraordinary expansion and financial strength. The institution’s operating budget has grown by 35% to reach $350 million, reflecting deliberate and strategic investment in academic innovation, research infrastructure and clinical partnerships that extend MSM’s reach across Georgia and beyond.

MSM’s endowment has more than doubled, fueled by historic philanthropy and visionary financial stewardship. The transformative Bloomberg Philanthropies gift—one of the largest in the school’s history—will propel the endowment from $140 million to $300 million. This milestone ensures long-term sustainability and empowers MSM to make bold, future-focused investments in the education of tomorrow’s healthcare leaders.

Enrollment growth has mirrored this financial success. The entering MD class is expected to double from 115 to 225 students over the next 8 years, alongside significant increases across MSM’s 16 degree-granting programs in biomedical sciences, public health and health-professions education. These achievements reflect MSM’s evolution into a premier academic health sciences center of national influence and deep local impact—an institution uniquely positioned to lead transformative change through education, research and community service.

The Chief Financial Officer who joins MSM at this pivotal time will not only steward the institution’s continued growth but also help shape the future of medicine itself. This is more than a leadership opportunity—it is a chance to make history at one of the nation’s most mission-driven, forward-looking and respected medical institutions.
