Arcadia University seeks an innovative, values-driven Vice President of Finance and Administration and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to provide strategic leadership and oversight of its financial operations with integrity, creativity, and vision. Reporting directly to the President, the CFO will serve as a vital member of the executive leadership team, guiding the institution’s financial strategy, systems, and stewardship. The new CFO will have a unique opportunity to shape the University's next chapter by joining a talented senior leadership team and engaging with a supportive Board at a time of continued growth in enrollment and programs. This leader will play a pivotal role in advancing the University’s strategic goals while developing and implementing financial strategies that position the institution to thrive amid the rapidly changing higher education landscape.
The Vice President of Finance and Administration/CFO provides leadership, oversight, and stewardship for all aspects of Arcadia’s financial resources while ensuring absolute institutional integrity on fiscal matters and promoting best practices in finance and administration. Reporting to the President, the VPFA/CFO portfolio includes Internal Audit, Auxiliary Services, Facilities Management and Capital Planning, Budget, Controller’s Office, Purchasing, and the Office of Student Accounts. The CFO works collaboratively with Cabinet members, the Board of Trustees, and other campus leadership in providing strategic advice and implementing financial and administrative objectives, policies, programs, and practices that ensure a sound financial structure for the institution. The CFO keeps the President, Board of Trustees, and President’s Cabinet informed about Arcadia’s current financial position; works with Arcadia auditors and the Controller to ensure that effective accounting controls are in place; ensures compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting; and, that collaborative relationships are maintained. The CFO collaborates with the Vice President for Human Resources on benefits-related matters, with the Vice President of Enrollment Management, Technology & Innovation on financial aid planning and monitoring, and the Vice President for Development and Alumni Relations on gifts.
The compensation range for this position is $262,000 - 350,000 with a generous benefits package designed to support physical, mental, and financial wellness.
