Tuskegee University (TU) invites nominations and applications for the position of Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine (TUCVM). As the only historically Black college or university (HBCU) with an accredited veterinary program awarding the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, the TUCVM holds a distinctive and nationally respected place in veterinary education.
The Dean serves as the chief academic and administrative officer of the College and is responsible for providing strategic leadership to strengthen the TUCVM’s academic programs, clinical training, research enterprise, and community impact. The successful candidate will be a visionary and collaborative leader who is an accomplished scholar and experienced administrator. The Dean is deeply committed to innovation, inclusive excellence, and resource development and this individual will work to elevate the TUCVM’s national and global presence while fostering a culture of academic rigor, service, and student success.
Founded in 1881, Tuskegee University is a National Historic Landmark and premier HBCU, serving over 3,000 students and employing more than 800 faculty and staff. This is a full-time, on-site executive leadership role located in Tuskegee, Alabama. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and includes a comprehensive benefits package.
