The Hematology/Oncology Division of the Department of Medicine, in partnership with Grant Cooper, at the University of California, Irvine (UC Irvine) and the Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center are seeking applicants for a full-time faculty position at the rank of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor (HS Clinical or Clinical X track) to hold the Stern Endowed Chair in Genitourinary Medical Oncology. Successful candidates will have a proven track record of successful translational and clinical research in genitourinary oncology, including cancers of the kidney, prostate, bladder or testes. Candidates with a strong record of scholarly work, established national and international reputation, and demonstrated ability to work in collaboration with an existing multidisciplinary team (medical oncology, urology, radiation oncology) in a matrix academic health science environment, are strongly encouraged to apply.

Eligibility
- Candidate must hold an M.D. or equivalent degree with American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) certification and hold ABIM subspecialty certification in Medical Oncology
- Applicants must possess or be eligible to obtain an active California state medical license
- Meet requirements for appointment at the rank of Associate or Professor
- A significant peer-reviewed publication record
- National recognition in clinical GU oncology and in associated clinical trials research
- A demonstrated ability to lead highly interactive and multidisciplinary research teams
- A collaborative style that fosters and supports teamwork and innovation
- Experience working with cancer center and public health leadership, research institutes, and community organizations

Criteria for the Health Sciences Clinical Professor Series
The incumbent will be expected to teach fellows, residents, and medical students; provide patient care; contribute to scholarly activities; and provide public and University service.
Criteria for the Professor of Clinical "X" Series
The incumbent will be expected to conduct substantial research; provide patient care; teach fellows, residents, and medical students; and perform public and University service. Excellent teaching is an essential criteria for appointment in this series.
Salary
The salary range for this position is $299,400 – $535,000. The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See the Professorial Series (Adjunct, Clinical X, HS Clinical, In Residence, Ladder Rank) and Professor of Teaching Series – Health Sciences Compensation Plan. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan, which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
