North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University has named nationally recognized scholar and higher education leader Shannon B. Campbell, Ph.D., dean of the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences (CAHSS), effective today.
Campbell, who most recently served as provost and executive vice president at Columbus State University, is returning to the University of North Carolina System after serving as dean of the College of Fine and Applied Arts at Appalachian State University.
Campbell’s career also spans roles as founding associate vice president of graduate studies at Metropolitan State University of Denver and department chair at High Point University. With more than two decades of experience in academic leadership and service as a faculty member, she brings a dynamic blend of scholarly excellence, administrative acumen and a deep commitment to education.
