Christopher

Bernard

Senior Associate

Christopher brings a deep understanding of the education landscape to his work in recruitment, shaped by hands-on experience at both the secondary and postsecondary levels. His career reflects a steadfast commitment to supporting students and institutions alike.

Before joining Storbeck Search (now DSG | Storbeck), Chris was Co-Director of College Counseling at The Frederick Gunn School, a coeducational independent boarding and day school in Washington, Connecticut. In true boarding school fashion, he wore many hats—coach, dorm parent, advisor—immersing himself in the life of the school and forging meaningful connections with students. In this role, he led efforts to streamline operations and introduce student-centered initiatives that enhanced the counseling program and better served students and families.

Chris began his career in higher education in the Office of Undergraduate Admission at Fairfield University, where he developed a strong foundation in enrollment management and earned both his B.A. in Political Science and M.P.A. in Nonprofit Management.

With a keen eye for institutional fit and a passion for guiding others through transformative transitions, Chris brings both strategy and empathy to every search.
