Indiana State University seeks applications and nominations for an exceptional individual to serve as Vice President for Enrollment Management. The University seeks a visionary leader to help the institution continue to build on the increased new enrollment that has occurred in the past two years.
Since its establishment in 1865, Indiana State University (ISU) has consistently upheld its respected reputation as an all-inclusive, state-assisted public university offering bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees. Indiana State is in the heart of downtown Terre Haute, a city of 60,000 residents sitting 15 miles from the state line of Illinois and along the Interstate 70 corridor.
As of the fall of 2023, Indiana State University’s total headcount was 8,305, including 1,568 full- time first-year students. This number reflects a two percent increase, contributing to a 10% growth in the first-year class over the past two years. Notably, 2023 welcomed the highest number of international students and the largest international student population since 2017, representing 40 countries. Fall enrollment included students from 43 states.
Indiana State is committed to developing a campus of inclusive excellence to ensure everyone feels appreciated, respected, valued, and welcome. Of the student population, 68% identify as white and 28.4% as Asian, Black, Hispanic/Latino, indigenous, or people of color, about 50% are first-generation students, and 46% are Pell-eligible.
