The Foundation to Combat Antisemitism (FCAS) aims to inspire and mobilize all people to become upstanders against Jewish hate. FCAS launched the #StandUpToJewishHate campaign in 2023, reaching millions of people across the United States and establishing the Blue Square as a universal symbol to stand against antisemitism and all forms of hate. Through powerful positive messaging and partnerships with prominent Jewish and non-Jewish organizations, FCAS is strongly positioned to drive effective change. FCAS leverages unique monitoring technology to drive effective rapid response to Jewish hate and all hate, in addition to proactive programs that galvanize popular support for the Jewish community.

FCAS has secured more than $250 million in support of its mission since 2019, including more than 20,000 unsolicited gifts during a six-month period of 2023 as well as a recent, unprecedented commitment of $200M resulting from a partnership match between Robert Kraft and the Rales Foundation. Given the Foundation’s clear impact to date, it is committed to turn the moment into a movement and is prioritizing the ongoing scaling and long-term sustainability of its efforts. Going forward, FCAS will expand its reach to younger and older audiences across the nation with a larger digital and social reach, new campaigns across television and multi-media, increased data and research abilities, targeted partnerships, and meaningful convenings.

Amid this critical mission and environment of extraordinary investment and expansion, FCAS seeks candidates for the newly created position of Vice President of Partnerships. Reporting to the President and managing an evolving team that currently comprises three staff positions, the Vice President provides leadership and management of strategic partnerships and coalitions and will be a central figure in ensuring the Foundation’s long-term success. They will deliver step changes in the scale and impact of strategic partnerships and coalitions by strengthening and broadening existing relationships as well as advancing significant new relationships across the following target verticals that offer unique value: (1) the sports industry and audiences which provide the best opportunity to reach across all audiences regardless of age as well as opportunities to catalyze action via sports leaders, influencers, players, and fans; (2) Black, LGBTQ+, and other diverse communities and organizations, leveraging overlapping experiences regarding discrimination and hate and shared goals for the elimination thereof; and (3) Jewish, interfaith, and corporate communities that can provide access to powerful messaging platforms and the activation of their varied constituencies to stand against hate.

This is a unique opportunity for a dynamic leader who possesses a deep background building sustainable, scalable, high-impact partnerships and programs to stand in solidarity with Jews and combat all hate as FCAS continues to grow.

While FCAS will consider a broad range of backgrounds, the ideal candidate will have the following qualifications/experience:

  • Commitment to the mission and values of FCAS and a sophisticated understanding of antisemitism in its current and historical context.
  • While this leader may come with a background in a variety of fields or sectors, they will have a deep understanding of developing relationships and executing strategic partnerships with seven or more years of corresponding experience.
  • Experience developing external coalitions to drive collective movement-building and spearhead transformational change, fostering collaboration across complex and sensitive subject matter, and ensuring teams are communicating, partnering, and working in concert toward common goals; ability to build meaningful rapport and connections with people of different philosophies, backgrounds, and cultures.
  • Preferred but not required – Experience in program design, development, evaluation, and scaling as well as acumen in proposal development, operational and management processes, and process improvement strategies; knowledge of best practices in local and national program design and implementation; previous programmatic work in the areas of antidiscrimination, diversity and intergroup relations, or human rights more broadly.
  • Superb verbal and written communication skills with the stature, demeanor, and comfort level to serve as a highly visible and public-facing ambassador of FCAS.
  • Track record of effective management and agility in toggling between strategy, hands-on execution, and team leadership; ability to lead and motivate staff and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent judgment that prioritizes mission above personal gain or ego; a commitment to innovation, diplomacy, inclusivity, continuous improvement, and accountability.
  • Exceptional work ethic, entrepreneurial and highly flexible leadership style, and the ability to succeed in a fast-paced, evolving environment with a high level of principal oversight.
  • Culturally competent with respect to issues such as racial, cultural, religious, sexual, and gender identity with the interpersonal skills and sensitivity to develop and sustain impactful relationships with a diversity of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
